The Dune 2.0 is a well priced multifunctional helmet that offers the additional benefit of the MIPS brain protection system. It has excellent ventilation, a removable visor and a mount at the rear for a light too.Ā
MIPS stands for Multi-Directional Impact Protection System. This means that the inside of the helmet (in which the MIPS is incorporated) can move independently from the shell of the helmet during a crash, adjusting itself to the angle of the fall. The inside of the helmet moves with your head, while the outside absorbs the impact therefore reducing the risk of injury.
